The struggle is real! I’ve heard so many bad things about these new comments that I’ve actually avoided updating my edition of Word…which is already a worse version of Track Changes than the one before THAT. I’m guessing, though, that the end of this cartoon is accurate, which is why our protests and complaints probably won’t get us any improvements….

Finally a friend said it’s much easier to get all types of instructions/help by purchasing “Word for Dummies”. As for me, I went to Indigo and purchased “Microsoft 10 for Idiots”. The salesperson was very understanding and helpful. I refer to it all the time for troubleshooting. very user friendly.
I forgot to mention how appropriate the “paper-clip” image is a wonderful choice. It’s non bias in every way and humorous. The illustrator’s imagination is bang-on. (for me anyway).

We eventually won the battle to get the opton to keep classic comments, yay! But I didn’t realise when I bought Office 2024 on Monday, after years on 365 subscription, that I would lose the option to turn off Modern Comments!
I have spent all week trying to get uncripple my Office to revert to a version with the option, fiddling with installs and registry. It’s taken me all week but I did it. Of course I might run up my PC tomorrow and be back to square 1 🤪😫 But hopefully I will retain my ability to use mactos, autotext and autocorrect in my comments. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🙏🙏
